Baseball Mental Skills Training Confidence, Focus & Performance
Build the mental toughness to perform under pressure. Our 1-on-1 mental skills training helps athletes develop confidence, focus, and routines that last on and off the field.
Why Mental Skills Matter

Our Mental Skills Training program gives athletes the tools to:
Stay confident after failure
Manage stress and emotions effectively
Build pre-game, in-season, and off-season routines
Compete with clarity in high-pressure moments
Develop mental habits that last beyond sport

Michael Lutes
Mental Performance Coach
Michael Lutes is a mental performance coach dedicated to helping athletes elevate their game. He earned his M.S. in Kinesiology, Exercise and Sport Psychology from Southern Illinois University–Edwardsville and is working toward his CMPC certification.
Michael’s approach emphasizes evidence-based strategies tailored to real-world performance. In addition to his academic background, he has coached baseball at the high school level, giving him a clear view of how mental performance impacts daily training and competition.
Through his consulting business, Mental Highground, Michael works with athletes to develop resiliency, confidence, and focus. His methods are rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT) — teaching athletes to accept nerves and pressure while redirecting focus to what matters most. The result: athletes compete with clarity, confidence, and skills they can carry far beyond sport.
